High Cholesterol And High Blood Pressure-The Evil Twins

But Doc, I’m in perfect health, right???

Dear readers, I am not a doctor, nor do I possess any medical credentials. I am a 64-year-old African American male suffering from high cholesterol, and high blood pressure. My main message here is that you if you are 45 old years of age and higher.you should seek a full medical check-up, and do it immediately. Far too many times we see signs of danger, and we hold off seeing a doctor or physician. I am urging you not to put this on the back burner. Set up an appointment as soon as possible. Putting this off could be a matter of life or death.

High Cholesterol-The Silent Stalker

It’s probably too late when it shows it evil face. Known to cause heart disease, heart attacks, and stokes. If not treated, it could cause irreparable damage. There are no early warning signs for high cholesterol. It causes deposits to form on the walls of your arteries and veins which restricts the normal flow of blood to the brain, heart and organs.

High blood pressure (hypertension)-The Snake In The Grass

As mentioned above about high cholesterol, this disease can also hide without detection, sneak up on you, and strike without warning.

This disease can cause so many complications, its hard to imagine that it isn’t easily detected. The truth of the matter is that you could be living with it right now, and not be aware of it. It could develop over time with age, smoking, poor eating habits, obesity, and stress just to name a few.

It’s known to exist in families with a history of high blood pressure, and therefore is part of the family trait. I’m extra concerned about the African American male, as we seem to develop this disease at a higher rate than other races. Warning signs could be headaches, dizziness, and nosebleeds, but this is usually the outcome when it has reached dangerously high levels. If not treated, high blood pressure could also lead to kidney failure, heart damage, or a heart attack.

Is There A Doctor In The House

Without question, my primary concern is that you see a doctor. Each person has their own unique circumstances when it comes to medical treatments, which also takes into account family medical histories. Blood test is a common procedure when diagnosing high cholesterol, and your local pharmacists is usually equipped with a blood pressure monitor that you can use for free to keep track of your BP, (blood pressure), readings when seeing a doctor is not possible.

These are the details, now get the facts.

There is so much more to high cholesterol and high blood pressure. I don’t even imagine that I’ve touched on the smallest percentage of the hard facts in relation to these diseases and their seemingly endless complications.

My goal here is to urge you to set up an appointment and have the necessary test performed so that you will be in the know… Know what you can, and should do even if no signs of problems exist. This could lead to making well-informed decisions that could lead to a much healthier future lifestyle.

Don’t delay. See your doctor or physician immediately.

Delaying this could lead to the inevitable. What you don’t know can and will hurt you.
